On the day before Martin Luther King Jr. Day my family went to Tampa to see the Lowry Park Zoo to see the animals. We saw: Clouded Leopards; Tigers; Elephants; tons of birds, including my personal favorite the African Shoebill; snakes; two Great Hornbills; some Giraffes; two Okapi; a Cheetah; some Australian Singing Dogs; three Red Wolves; an African Spoon Bill; and a Komodo Dragon. Those are just a small portion of the hundreds of animals that live there.
I have been to a lot of big zoos and aquariums in my mere 14 years of life, and the Lowry Park Zoo is one of my personally favorites. The most photographer friendly would have to be the San Diego Zoo. What I have noticed is that the Smithsonian and the San Diego Zoos almost mirror each other. I think this because they both have nearly the same animals. Also it would be smart and efficient to have two zoos on opposite sides of the country people closer to San Diego can go to the San Diego Zoo instead of having to go all the way to Washington DC, and people closer to Washington DC can go to the Smithsonian Zoo rather than going all the way to San Diego.
